RN Pre Procedure Phase II

Assess patients prior to admission via phone or in person, collecting medical history from previous records. Coordinate patient needs closely with the anesthesia department while performing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. Work under the direct supervision of the ASU Nurse Manager to maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. The Ambulatory Surgery Unit serves pediatric and adult postoperative patients in a 28-bed prep and 32-bed outpatient facility adjacent to the OR and PACU.
