Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room utilizing the nursing process. Prioritize patient wellness, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary team collaboration to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while adhering to AORN and ABPANC core curriculum standards. Requires state RN licensure, 6 months RN experience, ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification. Full-time days shift with performance-based incentives and comprehensive total rewards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care includes practice in Perioperative, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Operating Room levels of care
