Job Summary
RN provides patient-centered care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and PACU with responsibilities including assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring for adverse effects, documenting care, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team, and ensuring patient safety. The role includes both general RN duties across the perioperative continuum and specialized PACU duties such as assessing consciousness, managing postoperative pain and complications, IV fluid management, wound care, patient education, and adherence to infection control and safety standards. Requires current RN licensure and BCLS; 0-2 years of acute care experience or student rotations; schedule: evenings, part-time; sign-on bonus of $12,500. Responsibilities emphasize nursing process, coordination of care, patient/family education, and participation in performance improvement and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
