Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for surgical and non-operating room anesthesia patients in the North Tower Pre Op and PACU units. Provide patient-family centered care while developing teaching strategies and documenting education in health records. Partner with patient/family input to plan care and discharge under the ANA scope of practice and Nurse Leader direction. Requires 2+ years of critical care or PACU experience, BLS, and ACLS certification. Night shift rotation with variable weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- comply with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of critical care or PACU experience
