RN- Pre-Op/PACU Hospital (FT/Days-Eve.)

Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care in the peri-operative period through the Preoperative, Holding, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Phase II, and Pain Management areas. Manage confidential patient records, department documents, and hospital information while supervising nursing assistants, unit clerks, and transportation personnel. Administer care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric ages and provide input into budget needs regarding equipment. Communicate daily with other department personnel and perform all duties assigned while adhering to McBride Orthopedic Hospital guidelines. Requires current Oklahoma RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Full-time day and evening shifts; safety-sensitive position.
Required Qualifications
- Current License by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (PALS) within 3 months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- Orthopedic experience
- Computer skills
- CPSI knowledge
