Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Postpartum/Special Care Nursery, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions for patients with multi-system issues. Gather data through history taking and physical assessment to develop and revise patient care plans, while administering medications and teaching patients and families about discharge management. Supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel as delegated, documenting progress toward desired outcomes. Requires BSN preferred, New Hampshire RN licensure, and one year of clinical experience. Works nights with a medium physical demand classification involving lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- One year prior clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of experience in working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
- Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 - 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 - 50 pounds
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have far vision
- Must have near vision
- Must have peripheral vision
