Job Summary
RN provides postpartum and newborn care, performing ongoing assessment of the mother and newborn, and coordinating discharge planning and follow-up care. Responsibilities include educating the maternal-newborn dyad from birth to discharge, participating in unit-based quality initiatives, and ensuring care aligns with established guidelines (AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, AAP). BSN preferred; active MA RN licensure required; BLS required, NRP required prior to unit orientation. Shift is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, weekends and holidays, full-time (36 hours/week). Bonuses up to $20,000 for external postpartum RNs.
Required Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Current MA RN Licensure
- AHA BLS BLS required
- NRP required prior to completion of unit orientation
- Current mother baby/ nursery experience required; Level 1B nursery experience strongly preferred
