Job Summary
Conduct ongoing assessment and care for mothers and newborns from birth through discharge per AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, and AAP guidelines. Provide education to the maternal newborn dyad and orchestrate discharge planning and follow-up care. Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and successfully complete required competency programs. Maintain clinical practice in accordance with established standards while fostering culturally sensitive couplet care and early family bonding in a 12-room private unit with a level 1b continuing care nursery.
Required Qualifications
- Current MA RN Licensure
- Current AHA BLS
- NRP
- mother baby/ nursery experience
- BSN preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Level 1B nursery experience
