Job Summary
Conduct ongoing assessment and care of mothers and newborns from birth through discharge according to AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, and AAP guidelines. Provide education to the maternal newborn dyad and orchestrate discharge planning and follow-up care. Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and maintain clinical competency in mother-baby/nursery care. Work the 7a-7:30p/7p-7:30a shift schedule with weekends and holidays as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current MA RN Licensure
- Current AHA BLS
- NRP
- mother baby/ nursery experience
- BSN preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Level 1B nursery experience
- BSN
