Job Summary
RN Informatics role focused on enabling providers through clinical information systems. Responsible for assessing provider workflow, documenting requests, proposing solutions, and logging EMR enhancement requests. Conducts outreach to medical staff, shares application tips, guides providers to best practices, and develops training materials for providers. Performs daily rounding with providers to identify and resolve issues, trains providers and train-the-trainer sessions, and supports change management to ensure smooth implementation of new application changes. Leads go-live support and post-go-live optimization, develops and maintains training materials, and engages with clinical teams to improve application usability and workflow. Requires advanced nursing/clinical knowledge, experience with EMR/EHR systems (EPIC or similar), strong communication and problem-solving skills, and 5+ years of combined clinical and informatics experience. Qualifications include RN license, BLS, and a Bachelor’s in Nursing; Master’s preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing (RN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 5+ total years of clinical and informatics experience
- Experience supporting applications used by providers (Epic or other EMR preferred)
- Advanced clinical knowledge of current healthcare practice and provider workflow (CPOE and documentation)
- Experience with training and educating providers on new applications or functionality
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) and escalation process adherence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to conduct change management and post-go-live optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred
