Job Summary
Deliver total nursing care to perioperative patients before, during, and after surgery using a multidisciplinary approach. Assist surgeons and surgical teams, provide orientation and training for new personnel, and act as a resource for patient care problems. Utilize the nursing process for proper patient identification and procedure effects while recognizing safety hazards to initiate corrective actions. Maintain current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications with at least one year of surgical experience. Requires on-call rotation; per diem, non-benefited status with 13 pay increments ranging from $57.72 to $82.30 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree of Nursing
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
- At least one (1) year experience with surgery
- Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of Perioperative nursing care including, but not limited to proper identification of patients and procedures, along with their potential effects on the individual patient
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and to initiate appropriate preventative and corrective action
- Is self-directed in improving and acquiring the abilities and skills necessary to enhance job performance
- Requires on call
