Job Summary
RN – Perio Services – Surgery role involves professional nursing care for perioperative patients, functioning as a scrub technician when needed, coordinating and delegating patient care, adhering to nursing standards, and collaborating with the care team. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS (PALS/ACLS within specified timelines), and completion of nursing program. Prior OR experience (six+ months) desired. Duties include assessing patients, administering and charting medications, participating in discharge planning, infection control, documentation, and education for patients and staff, with Lean Daily Management and team-oriented responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Six or more months of relevant OR experience
- Current RN license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- Facility Specific License/Certifications (BLS, PALS) as per AH policy
