Job Summary
RN Perianesthesia at Mercy Hospital in MN; 0-2 years critical care/perianesthesia experience required; 8-hour shifts with day/night rotation, 24 hours/week (PART TIME). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, planning and coordinating care for patients undergoing or recovering from anesthesia or sedation; ensure safety and comfort; supervise/coordinate unit operations; potential roles as Charge Nurse or Preceptor when applicable; maintain competencies and apply evidence-based nursing practice; collaborate with family and patient to establish expected outcomes, delegate appropriately, and meet organizational requirements. Licensure and certifications required or in process (MN or WI as applicable) with BLS required; ACLS/BLS per policy; CPAN/CAPA certifications preferred; CN/AN responsibilities include care coordination, documentation, and involvement in discharge planning. Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing or equivalent if outside MN
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross or in-house)
- ACLS/BLS Tier 2-Advanced Cardiac Life Support by orientation
- PALS preferred by most sites
- CPAN CAPA certifications preferred
- Physical demands: Medium Work up to 32 lbs occasional / up to 25 lbs frequent
