RN Per Diem Night Labor & Delivery

Assist with laboring patients, cesarean births, and vaginal births, including immediate newborn care, mother assessments, and infant assessments. Administer medications and therapeutic agents, perform skills essential to nursing actions, and teach clients and families how to care for their health needs. Formulate nursing diagnoses and care plans in collaboration with clients, evaluate care effectiveness, and modify plans based on observed symptoms and treatment reactions. Utilize SBAR communications for emergencies and bedside hand-offs, adhere to Baby-Friendly model standards, and advocate for clients by ensuring informed decisions about care. Perform documentation of patient care, interdisciplinary plans, and discharge processes while following hospital policies. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one year of Labor and Delivery experience, current California nursing license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP. Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
