RN Pediatrics Super Pool

Job Summary
Direct patient care for pediatric acute and critically ill patients. The RN in the Super Pool will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family-centered, and holistic. The RN in the Super Pool will participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement. The RN will maintain high-quality age-specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population. The RN in the Super Pool will support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- STABLE obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
