Job Summary
RN Pediatrics Super Pool provides direct patient care in pediatric acute and critically ill populations. The RN organizes, implements, modifies, evaluates, documents and maintains the plan of care, which is individualized and family-centered. The role emphasizes high-quality age-specific care across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients and involves participation in organizational initiatives and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
