RN Pediatrics Super Pool

Job Summary
Direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on pediatric acute and critically ill patients. The RN in the Super Pool will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, and maintain the plan of care, which is individualized, family-centered, and holistic. The RN will participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement, maintain high-quality age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations, and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics according to agreement
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
