Job Summary
RN Pediatrics Super Pool provides direct pediatric patient care for neonatal to young adult populations in acute/critical settings. The RN will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain an individualized, family-centered plan of care; participate in organizational initiatives and process improvement; maintain high-quality age-specific care across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult populations; and support the mission and values of the organization. Requires BSN within 24 months of hire (for those hired after 6/1/12), 3-6 years pediatrics experience with ability to work in at least four areas (two are critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant), and certifications including BCLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE within specified timeframes. Location is Richardson, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
- Neonate Resuscitate within 60 months
- PALS within 60 months
- STABLE within 60 months
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
