Job Summary
RN Pediatrics Super Pool at Medical City Dallas seeking a pediatric registered nurse to provide direct patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in a pediatric acute/critical care setting. The RN will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care, ensuring it is individualized, family-centered and holistic. Responsibilities include maintaining high-quality age-specific care across required units (NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant for pediatrics) and contributing to process improvement and MCCH initiatives. Requires Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred within 24 months for hires after 6/1/12; 3-6 years pediatric RN experience; ability to work in four areas (two of which must be critical care); CPR/BLS within 30 days, Neonate Resuscitation within 60 months, PALS within 60 months, STABLE within 60 months; minimum of 3 years hospital experience in pediatrics.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire for those hired after 6/1/12
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics
- Must be able to work in 4 of NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
- Neonate Resuscitate within 60 months
- PALS within 60 months
- STABLE within 60 months
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
