Job Summary
Provide direct pediatric patient care as part of the RN Pediatrics Super Pool, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining individualized, family-centered care plans for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients. Demonstrates high-quality care across NICU/PICU/peds ED/other specified areas, participates in process improvement, and meets required certifications (BLS, Neonate Resuscitation, PALS, STABLE) within specified timelines. Supports organizational mission and values within a tertiary care setting at Medical City Dallas/HCA Healthcare, with a focus on pediatric acute and critically ill populations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position for those hired after 6/1/12
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics
- Ability to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
- Neonate Resuscitation within 60 months of start date
- PALS Pediatric Advent Life Support within 60 months of start date
- STABLE within 60 months of start date
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
