Job Summary
RN Pediatrics Super Pool at Medical City Dallas seeks a pediatric RN to provide direct patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. The role involves organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting individualized, family-centered care plans; participating in process improvement initiatives; maintaining high-quality age-appropriate care across pediatric populations; and supporting the organization’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics according to agreement
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Minimum of 3 years Hospital Experience in Pediatrics
