Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, analyze data to determine diagnoses, and develop individualized care plans within the ANA Nursing Process framework. Implement prescribed strategies, monitor patient progression, and coordinate care delivery while providing health teaching and promotion to ensure safe environments. Evaluate progress toward outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support systems to resolve illness and alleviate suffering. Exercise independent clinical judgment to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care in accordance with state regulations and institutional policies. Utilize applicable technology to document activities and access work-related applications for engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification
- Registered Nurse (RN) status
- South Dakota Board of Nursing registration
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Very Heavy work capability: exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
