Job Summary
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Effectively delegate, direct, and manage nursing team resources while using the nursing process to deliver patient care. Communicate clearly, adapt explanations to diverse patient populations, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Maintain involvement in unit and department strategic goals while promoting change to achieve optimal outcomes. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and proficiency in computer software.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to walk or stand to a significant degree
- Must be able to push and/or pull of arm or leg controls
- Must be able to work at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials
- Must be able to work in an area where patients enter
- Must be able to work directly with patients
- Must be able to work with specimens that could contain communicable diseases
- Must be able to handle receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste
- Must reside in an area eligible for remote work (not Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C.)
