Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinic setting, including escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining medical histories, assessing conditions, and documenting vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while administering medications and performing IV therapy. Assist providers with treatments, monitor patient responses, and support urgent situations that arise. Administer injections, assist with laboratory and imaging procedures, and respond to patient phone calls to triage concerns. Document patient information accurately within the electronic health record and coordinate referrals and prior authorizations. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies according to established standards and infection prevention protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri (or compact state eligibility)
- CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous pediatric, urology, ambulatory clinic, or specialty nursing experience
- Experience with patient triage and care coordination
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
