Job Summary
RN Pedi Super Pool responsible for direct patient care for pediatric acute and critically ill patients, organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, documenting and maintaining individualized family-centered plans of care, ensuring a safe therapeutic environment, participating in process-improvement initiatives, and floating as needed across Tier II units (PICU, CICU, NICU, Peds ED) with required certifications and licensure in Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or Compact license
- Associate’s degree is required — if hired after 06/01/2012, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- 3 years of pediatric hospital experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS within 6 months of employment start date
- NRP within 6 months of employment start date
- Tier II has 2 years of critical care experience with ability to float to other units within Tier 2
- Current AHA/ARC BLS; PALS; NRP within designated timeframes
- CCRN, CPEN, RNC-NIC, CPHON, BMTCN preferred
