Job Summary
Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, focusing on pediatric acute and critically ill patients. The RN Pedi Super Pool will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain individualized, family-centered care plans; maintain a safe and therapeutic environment; participate in initiatives and process improvements; ensure high-quality age-specific care across neonatal to young adult populations; be willing to switch shifts based on facility needs; support the organization’s mission, vision, and values; and operate within the Medical City Dallas system as part of HCA Healthcare. Requires willingness to float to additional units as needed and adherence to certification timelines (BLS, PALS, NRP) and licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in the State of Texas or Compact license
- Associate’s degree required
- BSN required within 24 months of hire (for RN position)
- Neonate Resuscitate within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date
- BLS provider current
- NRP required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric/critical care experience 2+ years (Tier II) with ability to float to other units
- PICU/NICU experience within Tier II
- CCRN, CPEN, RNC-NIC, CPHON, BMTCN preferred
