Job Summary
RN Pedi Super Pool providing direct pediatric care for neonatal to young adult patients in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and maintaining the plan of care that is individualized and family-centered; maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment; participating in process improvements and initiatives; providing high-quality age-specific care across NICU, PICU, pediatrics, and pediatric ED; and being flexible to switch shifts based on facility needs. Requires 3 years of pediatric hospital experience, Texas RN or compact license, Associate’s degree with BSN required within 24 months (if hired after 06/01/2012), and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP within specified timeframes; CCRN/CPEN/RNC-NIC/CPHON are preferred. The role is located at Medical City Dallas in Bedford, TX, and involves on-site hospital duties with potential to float to other units within Tier II/critical care areas.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Peds type experience in a Hospital Setting
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or Compact license
- Associate’s degree is required - if hired after 06/01/2012, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
