Job Summary
Initiate corrective action for adverse symptomology from monitoring equipment and respond to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols. Provide critical care nursing to a complex, high-acuity patient population while maintaining a safe environment and optimizing outcomes. Handle critical and highly stressful situations with decisive judgment and composure, working within minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting. Requires 6 months of ICU or PCU experience, current BLS and ACLS certification, and state RN licensure. Full-time day and night rotation at UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS and ACLS cards must be good through sixty days of hire
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
- Shift: Day and Night Rotation
- Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
