Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) and collaborating with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Responsibilities include resident assessment, education, and coordination of care within the full scope of nursing practice, with emphasis on preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. The role requires adherence to state practice rules and the standards of the Sanford Professional Nursing Practice. Preferred education includes a Bachelor's Degree in nursing, with licensure in the practicing state; an unencumbered RN license or multi-state licensure under an NLC state. Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multi-state licensure if NLC state
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- Ability to perform nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation)
- Experience/competency in coordinating resident care and education
- Ability to delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel as appropriate
- Compliance with Nurse Practice Act and related standards
