Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care using the nursing process to facilitate relationship-centered, compassionate, quality care. Coordinate care delivery, provide health teaching and promotion, and consult with interdisciplinary teams to resolve illness, disability, or injury while advocating for individuals. Collect comprehensive health data, analyze assessments to determine issues, and ensure patient progression toward expected outcomes. Utilize applicable technology to document activities and access work-related applications, continuously seeking opportunities to improve care delivery through innovative problem solving. Requires BLS certification within 60 days and proficiency in handling physical demands involving heavy lifting and exposure to contaminated needles.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification
- Registered Nurse (RN) status
- South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Very Heavy work capability: exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects
- Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
