Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative and post-procedural recovery period. Assess patient responses, manage pain, and provide appropriate interventions while following AORN/ASPAN standards for aseptic technique. Anticipate patient needs based on the procedure performed and underlying condition. Requires Wisconsin RN licensure, ACLS, and PALS certification, with a day-shift schedule (10:00-19:30) including on-call rotation. Training for day surgery pre/post is required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for Advanced Life Support
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for BLS Provider
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
- ACLS/ PALS
- Day shift with on call rotation
- Shift times, 10:00-19:30
- Flexibility to start early if needed
- Training to day surgery for pre/post
