RN PACU Phase 2 Outpatient Surgery Center PRN

Assess patients' consciousness and responsiveness post-anesthesia, evaluate pain levels, and administer prescribed medications while monitoring for side effects like nausea or shivering. Monitor fluid balance, regulate IV fluids, ensure a clear airway with oxygen support as needed, and check surgical wound dressings. Respond to post-operative complications, manage medical equipment, and implement infection control protocols. Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans, provide patient and family education on discharge instructions, and document findings accurately. Participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
