Job Summary
Recovery Room Nurse in PACU providing post-anesthesia patient care: monitor lines, tubes, or drains; manage pain; monitor vital signs and oxygen; educate patients and families on post-discharge care; document and perform post-operative assessments; monitor for complications; perform CPR or other emergency measures; collaborate with the surgical team to meet patient care needs; maintain a safe environment and ensure continuity of care and efficient throughput; initiate patient and family education on post-operative care as required.
Required Qualifications
- Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
