Job Summary
Assess post-operative patients' consciousness, pain levels, and responsiveness to anesthesia, while monitoring for complications like nausea or shivering. Administer prescribed medications including pain relievers, regulate IV fluids, and ensure clear airways with oxygen support as needed. Perform wound dressing changes, monitor vital signs using medical equipment, and respond to emergencies such as CPR or code team activities. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans, provide patient and family education on discharge instructions, and advocate for patient rights. Adhere to infection control protocols, National Patient Safety Goals, and organizational policies to maintain a safe environment. Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and education in the medical record.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support

- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
