Job Summary
Provides high quality professional nursing services in the ambulatory care setting and via telephone triage using the nursing process. Manages Medication Refills as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols and ensures safe, timely, and patient-centered care. Offers educational and career development options, certifications, and loan forgiveness opportunities. Includes requirements for BLS, CPR, and specialized certifications (Oncology chemotherapy, ACLS, PALS) with potential night/weekend differentials and safety initiatives. EPIC electronic charting is used for documentation. This Full-time, 1.0 FTE role is within Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico with opportunities for growth and development.
Required Qualifications
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- Degree from accredited nursing program; ADN minimum with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years
- Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
- BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
- CDS Outpatient
- Specialty Care Clinics: Oncology Chemotherapy certification
- Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
- Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS
- Experience: Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program
