Job Summary
Assess, plan, evaluate, and implement nursing care for individuals and families in an outpatient pediatric setting. Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels, while supervising LPNs and evaluating their scope of practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care, promote patient safety initiatives, and participate in department-specific quality and evidence-based practice projects. Provide verbal and written feedback to peers, mentor staff through role modeling, and maintain a safe environment by considering patient condition and intervention complexity. Document all interventions, notify physicians of condition changes, and advocate for patients by resolving concerns and promoting compassionate, family-centered communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- CPR certification
- HIPAA compliance
- Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) compliance
- adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- adherence to company policies and training requirements
Desired Qualifications
