Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate care plans, and conduct patient assessments for patients in outpatient GI settings and hospital GI OR suites. Deliver patient education and implement nursing interventions while collaborating with physicians and the inter-professional team to evaluate outcomes. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Work Monday through Friday with a rotating day off, including weekend call from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on a 9-week rotation, while remaining closed on holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require a pre-employment background screening
