Job Summary
RN - Outpatient Dialysis Center responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care within in-center hemodialysis, with knowledge of home dialysis therapies (home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and exposure to acute dialysis. Functions as clinician, educator, and resource for patients; supports physicians with office procedures; supervises Patient Care Technicians; conducts bedside nursing assessments and labs as required; ensures machine safety checks and appropriate use of dialysis equipment; coordinates care across interdisciplinary team; provides patient education and contributes to process improvements and quality initiatives. Demonstrates professional accountability, effective communication, and teaching strategies tailored to patient/family needs, with a focus on achieving expected patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Nursing college diploma or equivalent clinical nursing education
