Job Summary
RN Outpatient Cardiovascular Nurse provides high-quality, protocol-driven care in Cardiac Diagnostics (stress testing) and Cardiac Rehab, under Nurse Manager supervision. Responsibilities include direct patient assessments, IV insertions, medication administration, cardiopulmonary monitoring, ensuring informed consent, maintaining EMR documentation, and collaboration with cardiology, diabetes education, and wellness programs to develop individualized care plans. Experience with ACSM/AACVPR guidelines, telemetry interpretation, and education delivery (1:1 or group) is essential. Requires engagement with interdisciplinary team, adherence to evidence-based practice, and professional role modeling to support patient safety and care quality.
Required Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification upon hire or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire or equivalent
- RN license (single-state or compact)
- National certification in area of specialty upon hire (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience
