Job Summary
RN Outpatient Cardiovascular Nurse in an ambulatory/Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Rehab setting. Delivers direct patient care in a cardiovascular lab and rehab environment, performs stress testing, interprets data, develops and adjusts exercise prescriptions, and collaborates with cardiologists, health psychology, and diabetes education teams. Maintains safety and confidentiality, conducts patient interviews, obtains informed consent, administers IV medications, monitors cardiopulmonary status, supports emergency response per ACLS protocols, and contributes to education and quality initiatives within a shared governance model. Requires licensure as an RN with 5+ years of nursing experience; ACLS/BLS certifications and national specialty certification preferred or upon hire; associate degree or diploma in nursing (BSN preferred). The role reports to the Manager of Cardiovascular Services and participates in Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Rehab programs in Marietta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma or Bachelor’s Nursing (minimum education)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS or ACLS-I/ACLS-P (within 180 days)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS or BLS-I
- RN - Registered Nurse (single state) or RN-COMPACT (multi-state)
- National certification in area of specialty (Upon Hire)
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience
