Job Summary
Perform routine physical and psychosocial assessments, formulate individualized care plans, and adapt educational programs for patients and families. Make independent clinical decisions based on education and experience while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to ensure efficiency and optimal patient outcomes. Advocate for patient rights, identify potential conflicts, and seek counsel for resolution. Requires an Associate's degree in nursing, current California RN license, and BLS certification, with one year of acute care experience preferred. Mercy Medical Center Redding serves as a Level II trauma center and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- 1 year recent acute care experience and/or previous nursing practice experience
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
