Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in the orthopedic unit while leading, mentoring, and delegating tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and nurse externs. Apply the nursing process autonomously to provide comfort, relieve pain, and alleviate anxiety using evidence-based practice and information technologies. Maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment by following Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare policies and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate respect for patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality while reporting directly to the Nurse Manager. Requires an Associate degree in nursing, Florida RN licensure, and BLS/CPR certification. Full-time position with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida's Nurse Practice Act
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor
- Other specialized life support requirements designated by work area
- Acceptance of a full-time position (0.9 FTE or greater)
- If a former employee, must have been separated from the organization for at least 12 months
- Certain job related experience requirements may apply
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others

Desired Qualifications
