Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards, requiring the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk during shifts. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Work part-time with a preference for one year of experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
