Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and function as a patient advocate for all patients within established standards of care, hospital policies, and unit guidelines. Assess comprehensive nursing needs of assigned patients, coordinate education processes for patients and families, and continuously plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Participate with physician partners and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans, while communicating relevant information, safety issues, and equipment problems to the immediate supervisor. Document changes in patient condition timely to the charge nurse, supervisor, and physician. Complete specific orientation to orthopedic and spine care pathways and eight hours of annual education training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree)
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington OR holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart Association by start date
