Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned orthopedics patients while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with Mercy service standards. Perform duties consistent with mission, values, and safety protocols, including physical requirements to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk throughout the shift. Work full-time day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
