Job Summary
Perioperative RN needed at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients through the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, evaluation) in the operating room. Requires PA RN license and current BLS. Perioperative experience preferred; nurses not meeting this requirement must complete a surgical competency-based orientation program. Hospitals/roles emphasize pharmacology, aseptic technique, teaching, and thorough documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Past perioperative experience preferred or willingness to complete surgical competency-based orientation
