Job Summary
Triage urgent and emergent medical situations, provide first aid, and administer medications to students with chronic health conditions. Deliver individual and group health education sessions while maintaining accurate medical documentation, tracking laboratory results, and managing prescription supply inventories. Coordinate referrals with healthcare providers, provide staff training on wellness topics, and mentor students through role modeling. Monitor students for potential learning disabilities or mental health issues, ensuring a safe, inclusive campus environment. Full-time availability up to 40 hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a clinical, school-based, residential, or community health setting
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Desired Qualifications
- Youth experience prefer in school setting
- Experience working with adolescents or young adults
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Calm under pressure
- Excellent at taking notes
- RN could spot learning disabilities and or mental health issues
- Someone who could prep medication for the students overnight and the weekends
