Provide nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient needs are met according to physician orders, center policies, and state guidelines. Follow established procedures for charting, incident reporting, narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction. Document changes in patient conditions, including nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, and weight loss. Utilize the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring. Document and notify applicable departments regarding room changes, LOAs, new admits, or discharges. Make rounds with physicians when necessary.
