Job Summary
The position includes responsibilities for providing professional nursing services or direct resident/patient care under supervision, including assessing conditions, processing physician’s orders, administering treatments, and documenting progress. Registered Nurses (RNs) coordinate nursing care, educate patients, and may delegate tasks, while Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) perform direct care and report changes to RNs. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse by the Missouri or Kansas State Board of Nursing (for RN)
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (for LPN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to direct patient contact
- Valid driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 training and in-service hours annually (for both RN and LPN)
- Basic level knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
