Job Summary
Responsible for the administration of care to residents and patients in a senior living facility. The RN or LPN will administer medications, follow physician's orders, and provide work direction to Nursing Assistants. Key responsibilities include monitoring patients, documenting changes in their condition, and maintaining educational competency. Communication and emotional intelligence are vital in this role, alongside strong customer service skills. Licensure in Minnesota and CPR certification are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
- Must obtain CPR certification within 6 months from date of hire.
- Must complete and pass a state required background study.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with the elderly in long-term care, home care or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and critical thinking skills.
